In the aftermath of disaster, the people, agencies, and states facilitating recovery efforts receive requests from numerous different directions. We step in to ensure that they have accurate, detailed audit information so they can satisfy requests and get through an audit without losing any funding they were previously granted.
I offer 20 years of accounting experience that spans audit, tax, fraud examination, litigation and compliance. But just as important, I have personally been through disaster and offer empathy and understanding to those working toward recovery.Helping people navigate these devastating and confusing times gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction.
When not living out my calling to help communities in times of dire need, I spend the rest of my time with my family, which includes my husband and young son. Being born and raised on Mississippi soil, I spend much of my free time outside, enjoying the Mississippi weather with our son. I also have adopted some of our son’s other favorite pastimes, including reading, cleaning, and playing with his tools.
I have a soft spot for charities and non-profits that help families in the hospital and make it a mission to support them, including St. Jude, Ronald McDonald House, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation. My oldest and dearest friend has Multiple Sclerosis, so I support research for MS. Our family is a member of St. Richard’s Catholic Church.
