David Fehrenbacher is a director in financial institutions assurance at HORNE. He serves public and privately-owned depository and non-depository clients in enterprise risk management, internal auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley financial reporting, regulatory compliance and loan review.
He helps clients ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and controls they use to manage risks and meet regulatory requirements. He also collaborates with clients to identify potential problems and develop action plans, so they can better prepare for changing industry practices and regulations.
David has over 30 years of experience in financial institutions assurance and risk management across a wide range of risks including, regulatory compliance risk. Prior to joining HORNE, David held senior management positions in internal audit and credit risk review in regional-sized national banks and held the position of Community Reinvestment Act officer at one of them. He is also a former Commissioned National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
David has a Bachelor of Science in Business with dual majors in Finance and Marketing from Eastern Illinois University and is certified in Risk Management Assurance.
