During this invitation-only, leadership and development program, college juniors will be coached by HORNE’s Executive Partner Joey Havens, HORNE’s Director of People Growth and Engagement Kassi Rushing, expert trainer and motivational speaker Julie Laperouse and a Full Potential Panel of HORNE team members. They’ll share their insight and experience to help you reach your full potential.

Joey is the executive partner at HORNE LLP, leading more than 500 team members to build the Wise Firm© while passionately living out his life’s calling to help others see and reach their full potential. Joey leads the strategic visioning for culture, growth and client excellence. Within the profession, Joey actively challenges the mainstays of public accounting. He advocates growing leaders faster using holistic approaches and intentional sponsorship. In addition to his weekly beBetter blog, he is the author of numerous whitepapers and articles, including Becoming the Firm of the Future published by the AICPA. He was also named to Accounting Today’s Elite Managing Partner List in 2016.

Kassi is the director of people growth and engagement at HORNE LLP where she sets the vision for creating a firm of fully-engaged, continually growing team members who are striving daily to reach their full potential. She is passionate about building the Wise Firm and adamantly believes HORNE is a place where team members can achieve their dreams. She serves as an advisor to the executive partner, COO and board of directors for the firm. She is also an active servant on the Belonging at HORNE steering committee and the personnel committee. She was named to Mississippi Business Journal’s 50 Leading Business Women list in 2014.
Julie is an expert trainer and facilitator with an impressive track record of training high-performing professionals. She is the director of training for Emergent Method where she leads training and development services, particularly those involving leadership development, supervisory skills, soft skills, team building and operational improvements. Julie is also the founder of Screaming Peacock, a motivational speaking firm, and is author of the book “Are you a Screaming Peacock?” which complements her public speaking engagements. She was named to the Baton Rouge Business Report’s Forty Under 40 list in 2014.
