Cyber Security: Train the Trainer
Mississippi Hospital Association
Join HORNE Cyber Director of Network Security Brad Pierce and Director of Cyber Intelligence Kendall Blaylock as they present Cyber Security: Train the Trainer at Mississippi Hospital Association.
Traditional cyber defense strategies and regulatory compliance standards are no longer enough. Cyber attacks are now so numerous and sophisticated that it is no longer a question of if you will be breached, but rather when. This means organizations must become offensive in their cybersecurity strategies and begin focusing on building their cyber resilience – the ability to operate in the face of persistent attacks. Resilience enables organizations to continue to provide services to customers while fending off or reacting to cyber attacks. Your resilience determines if you will become a major headline after a breach or if it will merely be a small bump in the road.
According to a recent study from the Information Systems Security Association and Enterprise Strategy Group, a lack of employee training is one of the top three contributors to cybersecurity risk. Hospitals must increase cybersecurity training for non-technical employees, and it starts with leadership trained in cybersecurity. Through this comprehensive and interactive “train the trainer” session, you will be educated on the risks associated with cybercrime, what actual cyber attacks look like, and how to avoid falling victim by properly training your employees on cyber risks.
- Attendees will walk away with an understanding of what is possible today when it comes to cyber attacks, what actual cyber attacks look like, common data security risks/threats/breaches, and how to avoid falling victim.
- Attendees will learn how to offensively protect their organizations from cyber criminals with our recommended cybersecurity best practices.
- Attendees will understand recommended policies and procedures to build cyber-resilience.
- Attendees will gain an understanding of how to improve cybersecurity training within healthcare organizations and how to lead an effective training program.
